Best Free Registry Repair

The Anybody who has ever used Windows, and that’s most of us, knows that the Windows Registry is sort of the black sheep and the Achilles’ heel of the OS all at the same time. In theory, the Registry is supposed to consolidate our most used files and programs in an easy to access location so that our PC will run smoother and faster. Unfortunately, theories are called theories because they’re not yet proven, and so in reality the Registry is often the cause of computer slowdown rather than the solution to it. But this isn’t so big a deal because there is plenty of fantastic freeware that allows you to clean your Registry at no cost. Today we’ll try to determine the best free Registry cleaner on the market right now.

Wise Registry Cleaner Free

Wise offers some pretty good perks that make this one of the better cleaners out there. For one, it allows you to do a scan and clean with just the click of a mouse. This type of user-friendly interface is always welcome, but you can also do a more in depth manual scan to really clean out your Registry, if you so wish. The backup option is a must for any Registry cleaner and Wise definitely delivers on the goods here. Also, a portable version of the software is available, something few freeware cleaners offer right now.

Registry Repair

Registry Repair, by Clarysoft, delivers a very intensive cleaner that scans for any and all dead entries within your Registry. Few cleaners go as far as Registry Repair in checking for obsolete file extensions, invalid application paths, and much more. The best part, though, is that the interface is very easy and user-friendly, a feature that any good cleaner ought to have.

Registry Defrag

Registry Defrag is made by WinMend and is yet another program that goes above and beyond the call of duty to clean your Registry, backup your data, and boost your PC’s speed and performance. The program is quite easy to use and walks you step by step through analyzing the Registry, reviewing, and then defragging it. The best part, though, is that Registry Defrag is intelligent enough to know whether removing a file will harm the computer’s OS. Many lower quality cleaners can sometimes cause more harm than good but you won’t have to worry about that with Registry Defrag.

Final Tally

In the end, the three cleaners mentioned above are all wonderful in their own rights. Each one would make a fantastic contribution to your PC but, if we had to choose one, we’d go with Registry Repair. It’s easy to use, works quickly, and has a very intelligent AI like Registry Defrag. But all of them are free, so it wouldn’t hurt you to try each one out on its own and see for yourself which one deserves top honors. Please visit our registry cleaner comparison chart.
